The Instant-View® Barbiturate urine drug test is a one-step, lateral flow test designed to detect barbiturates in human urine at a cut-off level of 200 ng/ml. The accuracy rate for this test is >99%. This analyte is US FDA Cleared, CE Marked and is available in some OTC Cleared/CLIA-Waived formats.
Barbiturates are central nervous system depressants and are used as hypnotic sedatives. Barbiturates are detectable in human urine for up to 30 days for chronic users and 30-76 hours for casual users. The Instant-View® Barbiturate urine drug test is intended for use by healthcare professionals only and provides preliminary screening results of usage. It is recommended that a more specific chemical method (i.e. GC/MS) be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result.
