Buprenorphine is an analgesic drug, and is also used in heroin substitution and detoxification treatment. Buprenorphine is also used illicitly, and has produced fatalities when used in combination with other drugs. The Instant-View Buprenorphine (BUP) urine drug test provides qualitative screening results and is intended for use by healthcare professionals. It is recommended that a more specific chemical method (i.e. GC.MS) be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result.
