The Instant-View Propoxyphene urine drug test is a rapid, lateral flow diagnostic test designed to detect propoxyphene and its metabolite, norpropoxyphene, in human urine at a cut-off level of 300 ng/ml. The accuracy of this test is >99%. This analyte is US FDA Cleared and CE Marked.
Propoxyphene is a prescription drug used for the relief of pain and is structurally related to methadone. Norpropoxyphene is a major metabolite of propoxyphene, therefore, it is widely used for the testing of propoxyphene abuse. The Instant-View Propoxyphene (PPX) urine drug test provides qualitative screening results and is for use by healthcare professionals only. It is recommended that a more specific alternate chemical method (i.e. GC/MS) be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result.
