The RD3 remote display is an addition to an impressive line-up of displays from PT Limited and is based on the PT200 Series indicators using full surface mount components for extreme reliability.

The custom LCD display has six 20mm high numeric digits for easy viewing even in bright sunlight. It also has the latest Matrix style bright LED backlighting so it can be easily read in dimly lit or dark situations.

The flexible mounting arrangements allow for fitting into these installations: panel, desk, pole & wall. There is no setup required as the RD3 will automatically detect the communications parameters being used by the transmitting device and supports all data, stop and parity bits settings at two baud rates; 9600 and 19200 baud.

There is an RS-232 input only communications port that accepts PT serial strings. The RD3 can also mimic exactly the entire PT200 Series indicator display when using the master/slave serial settings to show indicator functions like “Motion, “Centre of Zero and “Net mode.

For installations where the distance is too great for RS-232, the optional PT RS-232/RS-422 converter will enable the RD3 to accept RS-422 communications. The standard power input is 12-24VDC, but the RD3 can be operated from optional 4 x AA alkaline batteries that can be fitted into the optional desk stand housing. The case construction is a high grade ABS for strength and durability with case dimensions (in mm) are 164L x 77H x 29D.
